In 2015, Listerine sales in the United States were more than $340 million, according to Statista. That’s a lot of Listerine! And when you take into account all the other brands of mouthwash, those numbers approach $1 billion. No doubt Americans use mouthwash for the intended purpose of oral hygiene. According to the Listerine website, the active ingredients in the famous mouthwash are eucalyptol, menthol, methyl salicylate, and thymol. 1. Deodorant.
