Creamed Chipped Beef Cheese Ball

This was wonderful. I took others suggestions and skipped salt & msg and added garlic powder.

This is a wonderful cheeseball! Exactly what I was looking for, and it was a huge hit at my best friend’s bridal shower. I added about a teaspoon of horseradish for a little extra bite.

Great recipe, but if you value the health of your brain PLEASE omit the MSG! It is a neuro-toxin/exito-toxin that you should avoid at all cost! Do some research!

I’ve been making this recipe for years and its ALWAYS a hit! I substitute a few drops of pepper sauce for the worceshire. I see the note about washing the beef and I don’t agree with that. Use it as it is. I’m pretty salt sensitive yet it seems just fine. I don’t use the msg either. This is one of the easiest recipes!

INGREDIENTS

2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, room temperature
1 (8 oz.) package chipped dried beef, finely chopped, if necessary
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3 stalks green onion, finely chopped, plus extra for garnish (optional)
Ritz crackers, for serving

PREPARATION

Place softened cream cheese in a large bowl. Using a mixer or wooden spoon, mix in chipped beef and green onions.
Once incorporated, mix in garlic and onion powders. (Mix in salt if you’ve tasted it and think it needs more seasoning.)
Transfer mixture to a sheet of plastic wrap, then seal tightly and shape into a ball.
Refrigerate at least 20 minutes or until firm.
Unwrap and serve with crackers, garnish with more green onion, if desired. Enjoy!
