Easy Quiche Recipe

Flip it!

I love this recipe. I too increase my eggs to 6 and use heavy cream. I then do all kinds of fillings to the basic mixture. Broccoli and beef, spinach and turkey bacon, sausage and cheese for breakfast. It’s my go to and so super simple to make. I add some cardamom for a spice, be careful not to share a bite with your dogs, cardamom is toxic to dogs.

If I am in a hurry or have unexpected guests, I omit the pie crust and spray the baking dish. I add drained spinach if I have it on hand or other vegetables. Makes a good dish for family or to take to a pot luck. Have made this recipe many times and try to vary it a little each time.

Great quick and easy Quiche recipe. Excellent suggestion to cut turkey bacon into pieces before frying. Added tomatoes and spinach to give it more color. Will definitely make this again soon.

I tried this recipe instead of my usual quiche recipe and it was very good. My only complaint was the crust was a touch doughy. I think the next time I use this recipe I’ll make the following change and prebake the crust for 10 minutes before filling to see if that helps the crust bake fully.

I replaced the half and half cream with 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and used 5 eggs instead of 4. I also only used cheddar cheese and baked it for 50 minutes. I cooked the onions in 1 tablespoon of butter before putting in the crust. The second time I changed the turkey bacon to beef cut up into small pieces. Both times the quiche turned out delicious. I had it for breakfast the next day by reheating it in the microwave for 1 minute. I forgot to say this was one of the easiest dishes to make for breakfast!

Ingredients:

1 refrigerated pie crust
6 large eggs
3/4 cup milk or cream
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup cooked beef chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese divided
3 tablespoons green onions.

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Unroll pie crust and press into a 9″ pie plate, crimping the top edges if desired.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
Sprinkle beef, 1 cup of cheese, and green onions into the pie crust and pour the egg mixture over top. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese on top of egg mixture.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is completely set. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
