TROPICAL DUMP CAKE

Flip it!

How did I go that long without knowing what dump cake was? It’s like the best and easiest recipe ever! If you’ve never heard of it, it’s similar to a cobbler or a crisp, but I think it’s easier to make.
Noah’s mom usually makes apple dump cake, which is awesome, don’t get me wrong…but I wanted to change it up a little.

It’s not the most attractive name for a cake, but I think the idea here is you just dump a few things in a pan and, before you know it, you have dessert. You have to love simplicity!

INGREDIENTS:

1 20 ounce can cubed or crushed pineapple
1 15 ounce can tropical fruit
1 package of orange cake mix
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup instant oatmeal
1 cup coconut flakes

DIRECTIONS :

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dump both of the fruits & their juices into a 9 x 12 Pyrex baking dish. Pour the dry
cake mix on top of the fruit & spread out evenly. Mix oatmeal & coconut & sprinkle over cake mixture with fingers.
Melt butter & pour on top evenly. It should cover the entire cake mix. Bake for one hour & serve with ice cream
