Gunk is something that builds up fast in the crevices of glass sliding doors and windows. The built-up gunk is ugly and really hard to clean because it is hard to get to it and that often makes people give up and let the dirt stay there. I personally suffered from this problem until I found the perfect method to clean those cracks without the need for any commercial product that most likely contains harmful chemicals or any pricy props.
To make the homemade cleaner you will need:
Props:
- Paper towels
- Cotton swabs
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Baking soda
As you can, the props are not expensive and everyone can get their hands on them and let’s face it, you probably already have them sitting somewhere in your house.
To use the DIY cleaner, simply follow these 6 easy steps:
1. Wipe away loose dirt
Wipe away loose dirt Using a folded paper towel, then start runniçng the paper towel on the length of the crack to get rid of the majority of the dirt. If the used paper gets dirty, then grab another one and run it down the length of the crack.
2. Sprinkle baking soda along the crack
Grab baking soda and sprinkle it along the crack evenly.
3. Pour hydrogen peroxide on the crack
Take the hydrogen peroxide and pour it on top of the evenly sprinkled baking soda and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
4. Wipe clean
Use a folded paper towel to wipe clean the crack.
5. Clean the edges
There are places that you can’t simply clean because they are hard to reach, but you can drop the paper towels and grab some cotton swabs. Simply take a cotton swab and run it along the cracks and edges until there’s no more dirt. If a cotton swab gets dirty, then use another one.
6. Congratulations, you are done
Congratulations, you are now finished, the cleaning process is done and now you can enjoy clean windows again, but make sure to clean them every once in a while.
