know this post is old…but made this for my sister and brother in law and it was a huge hit! So yummy and creamy. The only modification I made was I added 1 TBSP white wine vinegar (only bc I’m a vinegar fiend). We ate the entire dish. Thanks for a great recipe!!
Wonderful and so easy! This was a big hit! I also followed the others and used sour cream AND mayo. I’ll be making this one again very soon. Thanks for the great recipe!
Great recipe for a change up on traditional potato salad. Based on other reviewers suggestions, I used 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream. Added 1/2 tsp of chili powder to kick it up a notch. Will definitely be making this again for a change of pace.
The only thing I change is to cut up the potatoes before boiling them. My husband badgers me to make this all the time. The bacon gets soggy after it’s been mixed in, so wait until the latest possible moment to put it in.
This went over well at our Dad’s Day BBQ. Subbing sour cream for half the mayo added nice flavor. I followed a previous reviewer’s recommendation and used less turkey bacon… do NOT do this. The bacon was the best part!! Added more sliced green onions and real bacon bits to the top for presentation.
If you like ranch dressing then you would definitely enjoy this recipe. I’m not that crazy about ranch so this was just ok for me. I made this for a party today (along with four other salads). A few people loved it, including my son and my brother-in-law. I did use 1 cup of sour cream and 1 cup mayo. Anyway thanks for sharing. I know I will be making this again for othe parties.
Pretty good! Definitely has a different flavor, but I really like it. Just make sure to cook the bacon till really crisp, so it doesn’t get soggy, and it also gives it more flavor.
