This Avocado Hummus recipe is like guacamole and hummus in one, and it is the smoothest and creamiest hummus recipe I’ve ever made! And the flavor unbelievably delicious! Perfect for pita chips and veggies, or use it as a spread on your favorite deli style turkey or veggie sandwich.

This hummus recipe is easy to make, I changed it up a little by using a 3/4 cup of cilantro instead of the parsley and arigula. It is really good, you can be be creative by adding some cumin and a little cayenne to spice it up. Everyone one loved it!

Tasted pretty good. I had to use a mix of spinach and arugula since my grocery store only carried arugula/spinach mix. I also threw in some peppers.

BBQ hit! Most thought it was guacamole and dug in, all hummus haters and they loved it, men and kids too! Really easy! Second time I made it I was in a rush and just purchased pita chips in the store. Even when the chips run out, trust me they will find something to finish off this dip!

1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted

This is the best hummus! It’s rich and creamy and packed with that irresistible avocado flavor. Think hummus meets guacamole, I mean what more could you want? Perfect dip for veggies or pita chips or as a spread for your favorite sandwiches.

Ingredients

1 (15 ounce) can no-salt-added chickpeas
1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted
1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
¼ cup tahini
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
¼ cup lemon juice
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon salt

Directions

Drain chickpeas, reserving 2 tablespoons of the liquid. Transfer the chickpeas and the reserved liquid to a food processor. Add avocado, cilantro, tahini, oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin and salt. Puree until very smooth. Serve with veggie chips, pita chips or crudités.
