Bear Paw Cookies

kitchenfunwithmy3sons.com

The cookies themselves have a little extra umph in the form of–instant coffee! I was a little skeptical at first, but I actually love the flavor profile on these. It starts as a basic sugar cookie but with the added instant coffee, it gives it an extra depth of flavor. It’s subtle enough that it doesn’t overpower the flavor, and my taste testers, aka coworkers loved them but didn’t recognize the coffee flavor.

These whimsical cookies are crunchy, chewy, chocolaty and flat out fun for kids of all ages. A special treat for lunchboxes – and a sure-fire hit for parties. These cookies are baked on ungreased baking sheets to prevent them from spreading too thin. Letting the baked cookies cool for 1 minute on the baking sheets before transferring them to wire racks allows them to set and easily lift from the sheets.

Cookies are a great thing to bake with your kids as they’re so simple. These bear paw cookies are even more fun and sure to be a hit with any little one!
