Death-by-Butter Cookies

Sometimes a cookie does make everything just a bit better!
These are “happy” and delicious looking cookies. I would love one with a nice cup of coffee. That certainly would brighten the day.
These look so yummy! I’m going to have to give them a try while my son is home from college.

I wasn’t crazy about these cookies just because they were not as sweet as I had hoped but my girlfriend and mom loved them. If you’re a sugar addict like me I would consider adding more sugar to the dough but if you’re looking for more of a biscuitty flavored cookie these are perfect.

I found these on pintrest and decided to try them. Let me just say that the whole batch was gone in ONE day! My family loved them! Even my husband, who hates cream cheese and is super picky about his sweets. They keep asking for more! I’m making 2 batches today 🙂

these cookies are easy and delicious. Rolling them in powdered sugar before baking gives them just the right amount of sweetness.

Ingredients:

1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe cake mix,
1 stick butter.

making my second batch of these!! If it was up to my family I would’ve made a second batch immediately after the first! We all loved them. What UI found was if I do exactly 10 minutes they come out like a gooey butter cake, if i let them stay just a few minutes longer like 4-5 they come out cakey,I love them both! Thank you for the recipe, definitely a keeper and so easy…I actually made them the second time without looking at the recipe, although i did double check to make sure i didn’t leave anything out..lol

I just took the first batch of these out of my oven and I’m TRYING to not eat the entire sheet of cookies! These are sweet, gooey, wonderfully colorful little bites. Will be making these for the Christmas tray, with red and green sprinkles. Delish

I made these this past weekend for my family’s annual cookie bake and man oh man were they YUMMY! They came out so soft and perfect. I will definitely make these again in the future.

I just made these cookies. They were easy to make and delicious to eat. Thank you. I will try your other recipes.

your blog is very hard to use unless on a computer. From my iPad and phone the ads kind of make it a nightmare and the content takes forever to load. We made these today despite the challenge and they were a big hit!

Totally making these this weekend for my hubby. He LOVES funfetti cakes, I know he’ll really love these cookies! Gonna be a fun surprise 🙂

Made these last night – exactly as written – but they were much more cakey than gooey. Any idea why that might be? Also had too cook them 15 minutes (first batch was nearly raw, but not gooey, with only 10). Flavor was good, but they were even better when I used a basic powdered sugar glaze + a tiny bit of almond extract drizzled over cookies when they were cooled. Definitely a very “Happy Birthday” recipe for cookie lovers.

Ingredients:

1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe cake mix,
1 stick butter,
1/4 tsp vanilla extract,
1 pkg cream cheese @ room temperature (8 oz. pkg),
1 egg

Directions:

Combine all ingredients with electric mixer until well blended.
Chill dough for two hours.
Roll into balls (about walnut size).
Roll balls in powdered sugar.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar when completely cooled.
