1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons instant coffee granules

For the filling:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon instant coffee granules

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Dissolve the instant coffee granules in the buttermilk.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk mixture and mixing until just combined.
