I love making and serving this Cheesburger Pie. I noticed the Taco flavor pie recipe that I can make to change it up! Very easy to make. I like to sprinkle parsley on top before baking to add some color.
I changed this just a little: to add flavor I added a good dollop of garlic. Then for texture a small can diced tomatoes. For a complete meal, I added a can of no-salt chopped green beans. Then I thought a small can of tomatoe sauce would complete the dish, I was wrong. After adding the topping I sprinkled some Italian herb on top, now complete. After baking, I added more cheese to the top and allowed it to melt. The original recipe looked good, but lacked imagination. As a base it was good, mine was better.
Two things: 1) I use a blender to make the Bisquick batter, and 2) This recipe is so versatile. Tonight, I sauteed chopped bell pepper and onion, along with sliced Polish sausage then poured the batter over, then topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
For a nice side dish, parboil sliced zucchini and chopped onions, and proceed as above.
I made this at work for my boss. He loved it. I served it on shredded lettuce. I did put a little more seasoning (Lite Tony’s) and also put some mozzarella cheese. we decided the next time to add some bacon and mushrooms to it.
I have made this recipe so many times and tonight is no exception! This recipe has been passed down through a generation (at least), as my husband and I both loved it when our mothers made this, and we both love it as I continue to make it!
Ingredients:

Came out perfect. I thought it would be runny. Was a hit with everyone. I served it with catsup and a salad. I was not expecting it to be so tasty.
How easy can a recipe be? No wonder it’s been on the Bisquick box for years! Made it tonight for my wife & myself…we love it! It’s easy, and it’s adaptable. I included mushrooms in it tonight. Will likely try taco seasoning with ground beef next time.
I prepare this meal periodically for my fiance he loves cheese burgers he will literally eat them daily for lunch or dinner. Today I am going to make 2 , for the uncertain people try more ingredients and seasonings and different cheese’s will make a big difference!
Made this recently. It was fairly easy to make. Husband loved it. Most of the time his comments are it is okay. But for this, he was saying how good it was. So this recipe is a keeper.
This was super easy for me, a novice at the oven. Worked out great, and I can see where I can easily modify this like adding mushrooms, etc. I’ll definitely be making this again and sharing the recipe!
