Ingredients:
- 4 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped pickles
- 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon or bacon bits
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and mustard powder until well combined.
- Place a slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 20-30 seconds on each side.
- Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add a little butter or oil.
- Place the soaked bread slice onto the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread.
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to make the sauce.
- To assemble, spread a tablespoon of sauce onto one slice of French toast.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese, chopped pickles, chopped bacon, and shredded lettuce.
- Place another slice of French toast on top to form a sandwich.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
