Ingredients:
Cake
- 1 cup of coca cola.
- ½ cup of oil.
- 1 stick of butter.
- 3 tbsps of cocoa.
- 2 cups of sugar.
- 2 cups of flour.
- ½ tsp of salt.
- 2 eggs.
- ½ cup of buttermilk.
- 1 tsp of baking soda.
- 1 tsp of vanilla.
Frosting
- 1 stick of butter.
- 3 tbsps of cocoa.
- 6 tbsps of cream or milk.
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
- 3 ¾ cups of confectioners’ sugar.
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350° degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease and flour a 13×9 baking pan.
- Bring to a boil the coca cola, oil, butter, and cocoa in a saucepan.
- In a bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, and salt then pour the boiling cola mixture over the dry ingredients and beat until well combined.
- Mix in the eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before frosting.
- Heat the butter, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan.
- Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla, and then mix in the powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread over the cake while still warm.
