I got this recipe at a church potluck. All the flavors blend really well. I’ve made it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So far every time I’ve served it, I haven’t had any leftovers. Enjoy!
I used Ground Turkey meat instead of beef or sausage, and I bought a Country Style Gravy mix. So I wouldn’t have to make my own. Instant hit!!! I have ate a lot of Biscuits and Gravy in my life time, this receipe beats them all!
This turned out as a great keeper. I made a half and half version this morning. One half being these instructions, the other half for my spicy family members. The “other half” I used chorizo, pepper jack cheese, and sprinkled tabasco on top of the gravy before putting it in the oven. Mix it up and enjoy. Yum!
My husband LOVED this! It’s the perfect weekend breakfast and the leftovers store well. I made it yesterday and we ate on this morning too!
Yummy!! I made this last week and we loved it so much I am making two pans on Christmas for brunch for my large family. I used Pillsbury Grands Butter biscuits. ( they have visible flecks of butter in them). It’s a 14 oz. can. I used the entire can. I tore them into large pieces and scattered them on the bottom of the greased pan. I used Pioneer brand Country Sausage flavor gravy mix and shredded Co jack cheese. Loved it! I will try Sharp cheddar cheese next time just to try it. **UPDATE**. This was a huge hit on Christmas day! Everyone devoured it. Some said they went back for 3rds. I made 2 pans the night before up to the gravy point then I stopped. I covered the pans with saran wrap and refrigerated them overnight. While the oven was preheating the next day I pulled the pans out of the refrigerator and set them on the counter. Then I made the gravy, poured it on top of the casseroles and baked. After they came out of the oven I let them rest for 10 minutes before serving. I also used tin throw away pans you buy in the store for easy clean up.
