The ingredients are simple, and this recipe is quick to prepare and throw into the slow cooker. However, it does require about 4 to 5 hours to cook.

So, if you want to enjoy this in the morning for breakfast, the best option is to prepare it the night before (I typically set it up in the slow cooker while making dinner). After it’s cooked, refrigerate it, and in the morning, you can simply reheat it.

In fact, this recipe is perfect for meal prep, ensuring you have ready-to-go breakfasts that make those busy mornings getting the family ready for work or school a little bit easier.

Alternatively, you can prepare this recipe for brunch.
