Taco Pizza

This is the best taco pizza we have ever eaten! I used precooked taco meat from our local grocery store and omitted the taco seasoning. I used one cup mild cheddar cheese and one cup mozzarella. Yummy!
Everyone in my family loved this pizza! We used a Schwans pizza crust & cooked it on the pizza pizzaz. Only thing I did different was used slightly less hamburger and a little less cheese. I made the full amount of sauce and only had to use half so I froze the other half to use on our next pizza. I highly recommend this recipe. It is a new Friday night favorite in our house! 🙂

This is fantastic! We were discussing how to use up some leftovers and my hubby found this recipe. We used the refried beans with green chilies in it to give it a bit more kick. Prebaked crust made it extremely easy and added a bit more crunch. It’s now on the menu!
All I can say is WOW or that’s what my kids said after making this tonight. We searched the internet for a taco pizza recipe and came across this one. We used Jiffy Pizza Crust Mix and Doritos. I added the Doritos after the pizza came out of the oven. We will definitely make again. One of my daughter’s said better than a restaurant.

Ingredient:

1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix

This is the best ever, never again will I buy a Taco Pizza, I bought the pre baked crust ,layered beans, then taco meat, i had made extra for my girls as they wont eat refried beans, topped with cheese and had additional toppings ready when pizza was done.. I wouldnt change a thing

Taco night or pizza night? Take a stand and have both! We wanted a pizza that reminded us of the pies we used to get at Shakey’s in SoCal back in the 70’s. This is as good or better. I made this using my homemade taco seasoning, homemade picante sauce for the salsa, omitted the tortilla chips and drizzled homemade taco sauce over everything after garnishing with lettuce and tomato. For the best crust, bring your crust, beans and meat to room temperature before assembling the pie, then bake on LOWER rack for the full time.

This was great! I made some changes though. Instead of pizza crust from a tube, I used a crescent roll sheet. Added a layer of canned refried beans, mixed with diced green chilies and cheese, under the meat. I didn’t melt cheese on top of the meat, just served as a topping.

Pretty good, although I didn’t make it exactly as the recipe was written. I used a 13.8 oz roll of of Pillsbury Classic Crust refrigerated pizza crust, which when unrolled was about the size of a cookie sheet, and used all the toppings on one pizza. Quite a filling meal, and was a hit with my husband!

Ingredient:

1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
2 (8 oz.) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans (I used the jalapeño kind)
2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced black olives
4 green onions, chopped

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

How to make it:

Brown ground beef and drain. Add taco seasoning to the ground beef according to the package directions.

Unroll crescent rolls into rectangles. Place in ungreased 11 1/2 inch x 16 1/2 inch jelly roll pan or cookie sheet. Press dough over the bottom and 1/2 inch up sides to form crust. Bake at 375 oven for 11 to 13 minutes or just until golden brown.

Microwave beans in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute. Carefully spread beans over warm crust creating a thin layer.

Top with cooked beef mixture, sprinkle with cheese followed by tomatoes, black olives and green onion. Return to oven for 3-6 more minutes until cheese is melted. Serve immediately. Makes 12 main dish servings or 48 appetizers.
