MILLION DOLLAR SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE RECIPE

Flip it!

I’ve been making this recipe for the last year for my family and they love it. This time I tried it on a large scale for our Food Bank Volunteers today. It was a huge hit! I use both beef and sausage and I do my sauce the day before in a crock pot.

I love the idea of all the different cheeses and butter in this recipe. That is what sets it aside from other original pasta casseroles or dishes. My friend recommended this recipe to me. I will say that my 13 by 9 pan was a little small for this dish. But no complaints here. I will just use a bigger pan next time. It seems like every other recipe that I make I have to at least double the ingredients.

Family favorite! Today is my sons 12th Birthday and I had asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner, he blurted out, “million dollar spaghetti!”- 🙂

Very tasty recipe. If you have the time, it’s even better if you make your own sauce (e.g. crushed/diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, cook the beef/pork in it, let it simmer for awhile).

Very good. It was a little too much Italian seasoning taste for me so next time I’ll use ground beef. It’s creamy and tasty and has many possibilites for changing it up for personal tastes.

This was absolutely delicious! No one in my house complained AND my husband (who rarely eats leftovers) ate it leftover. Will definitely make it again!

Let me start this review by saying OMG! Are you kidding me, look at the ingredients, butter, cream cheese, heavy cream. If you want to impress guests or thrill your family, this is THE one! It was a super large serving for two but I will freeze the rest for later. I used some pasta sauce I had in the pantry but otherwise I followed the recipe. This will be a go to recipe for us

I made your spaghetti recipe times twelve and fed 155 people at the homeless mission. Many people raved on and on about it. I’m sure they get spaghetti a lot so that must be saying something.

I thought this recipe was amazing. I made it as written. Make sure you toss the butter, egg mixture and noodles well to avoid dry/clumped noodles. Just a nice spin on a lasagna. Will definitely make again.

This recipe sounds really good. I will put my spin on it, just as many cooks do. I will brown my ground beef with 1 sweet onion and a little fresh garlic. Also when I make recipes with cream cheese.. if there is onion in the recipe somewhere already (like in the beef).. I find it acceptable to finely chop some green onion to mix into the cream cheese. The flavors are very complimentary while not overpowering. Hopefully the family likes this.. if not more for me.. lol. xo

This spaghetti casserole is out of this world delicious. Next time, I’ll add some sautéed mushrooms and some of the sauce into the spaghetti mixture. I was describing the recipe to a couple of my co-workers and they wanted to try it. They loved it as much as I did. Our neighbors loved it, too!

My parents *and* my boyfriends mother came. It disappeared very quickly and everybody loved it! I’m glad I found the recipe because I need to make it a weeknight dinner. My kids actually loved it too, which is pretty rare lol.

INGREDIENTS :

1 lb of ground beef
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
8 oz of cream cheese
¼ cup sour cream
½ lb cottage cheese (equals 1 cup)
½ cup butter (1 stick)
1 pkg spaghetti 16 oz
Grated cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS :

Preheat your oven to 350°. Boil your spaghetti noodles until al dente (firm). Drain and set aside until ready to assemble.
Combine the cream cheese, sour cream and cottage cheese until well blended.
Brown your hamburger and when done, drain well. Combine the hamburger with your spaghetti sauce.
Put a few slices of butter into a 9×13 pan then pour half of your spaghetti noodles on top.
Take your cream cheese mixture and pour on top of the noodles. Spread well over noodles.
Pour the rest of the noodles on top of the cream cheese mixture. Put a few more slices of butter on top of the noodles.
Pour your spaghetti and meat sauce on top of your noodles.
Now it is ready to put into the oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, pour the desired amount of grated
cheese on top and return to the oven for 15 minutes to allow cheese to mel
