Water Cockroach Traps.
Cockroaches need water to survive. So a water cockroach trap is the easiest way to catch them. Simply fill a jar with water and place it in an area where roaches are likely to be. Once the cockroaches get into the jar, they can’t get out.
Cockroach Control.
When it comes to roaches, there are several things you can do to make your home roach-proof. Cockroaches breed in dark, damp places. So make sure your home is regularly ventilated and fix any water leaks. Get rid of unnecessary trash and cluttered garbage cans, as these are perfect homes for roaches.
Cockroach sprays.
One last tip about roaches. They absolutely hate strong odors. Add a few drops of Listerine and peppermint essential oil to a spray bottle. Spray the solution along baseboards, under furniture, under the kitchen sink and anywhere you’ve seen a roach.
Cinnamon deters ants.
Ants don’t like strong odors, especially the smell of cinnamon. Coat cotton balls with cinnamon powder or cinnamon essential oil and place the balls in areas where ants are likely to enter, such as near windowsills and door frames.

Ants enter the house from the outside through cracks and crevices. Use caulk around the house to seal cracks and holes where ants can enter.
Use salt to kill fleas.
A favorite hiding place for fleas? Carpet. Sprinkle salt generously on the carpet; after a day or two, vacuum it up. The salt will dehydrate the fleas and kill them.
Spring cleaning.
To get rid of fleas for good, wash all the fabrics in the house within a few days. Thoroughly clean everything from furniture to sheets, rugs and curtains to kill existing fleas and their eggs.
Keep pets out.
Fleas usually enter the home through pets. So make sure your pets take flea medication according to your veterinarian’s instructions. You can also buy a pet flea shampoo to get rid of fleas quickly.
Fruit Fly Traps.
Fruit flies can enter the home through open doors, windows and sink drains. Mix a few drops of apple cider vinegar and detergent in a bowl or jar to catch and kill fruit flies. Cover the top with cling film and make a hole. The flies will enter the jar but will not be able to escape.
Lemongrass.
To keep pests away from outdoor spaces, make a spray with water and a few drops of citronella essential oil. Spray it on patio furniture and decks. There are also citronella candles, but they are not as effective as essential oils.
