Ingredients:
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 pounds ground turkey
3 tablespoons taco seasoning
1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
12 (6 inch) flour tortillas
Directions:
Place onions, jalapeno, and garlic in a grill pan over medium heat; cook and stir until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Stir in ground turkey, taco seasoning, and green bell pepper. Cook and stir until turkey is completely cooked through, 20 to 30 minutes. Divide turkey mixture among the tortillas.
Great recipe!! I’ll be doing this again and again. I made some changes though. Instead of turkey, I used chicken leg quarters which I boiled, then I julienned the chicken and used the same broth from boiled chicken. Also I did not use the corn because of a family member’s health issue. It turned out to be really good and I highly recommend it. For me sour cream is a must. Put it together with the chicken mixture before you wrap the flour taco.
They now have whole grain corn hard shells which, upon reading the nutrition facts, I found to be better for you than the soft shells!! You can also use 40% less sodium taco seasoning!! LOVE IT
This is very high in point value at my weight I have only 20 pts to work with. I definitely substitute the flour tortillas to a light tortilla and I would also change the cheese to a weight watchers cheese.
