GREAT Brown Rice Stuffed Peppers

My grandmother always made THE BEST stuffed peppers.

They took hours to bake… such a special treat! She left her recipe with me, and I was determined to make these doable as an ‘everyday’ dinner option… by precooking the ingredients, as it cuts an entire hour off the bake time! Enjoy ☺ !

Great recipe. I added another 8 ounces of tomato sauce and then fresh mozzarella slices on top of the peppers with 15 minutes cooking time left. Excellent.

I made it with lean ground turkey because I couldn’t find Bison. Was very good. I’m gonna sub either the tomatoes or the tomato sauce with some picante next time to give it a little kick.

This sounds like the green peppers my dad used to make.He’s gone now so I can’t get the recipe from him, but I’m sure going to try this one !! Thank you !

Needs a little more tomato sauce and some mozzarella cheese to top it off, but it was a great recipe for my first attempt at stuffed peppers!

This was great! I added some salsa and a can of black beans! My husband and I finished off the whole recipe by ourselves 🙂

Used brown rice, and didn’t have tomato sauce so I used about 1/2 bottle of spaghetti sauce- not by choice though. We always use red peppers; chop and saut? the tops and add to filling. Good, filling, and simple to make.
