Once the knot has been defeated (sounds dramatic, but that’s how much we detest these knots) all you have to do is soak the chain in a mixture to get the oils off the metal. Check out the video below to find out what the mixture is! It’s a very simple two-part solution, both of which you definitely have in your home right now.
Make sure to dip JUST the previously knotted section into the mixture. Do NOT submerge the entire chain, or the necklace will just get tangled all over again. Pat the chain dry with a lint-free towel and wear your necklace with pride.
For future reference, to avoid those obnoxious knots, make sure to hang your necklaces individually to avoid tangles. But for the next time you carelessly toss your necklace aside (no judgment, ladies, we’ve all been there) at least you know this clever trick to fix your mishap!
