This pineapple French toast is delicious and very similar to pineapple upside down cake. It’s like having dessert for breakfast. It’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser and quick and easy to make!
This amazing Pineapple Upside Down Cake French Toast is made with pound cake instead of bread and is cooked with a pineapple ring.
We have another delicious French toast recipe for you today. This pineapple French toast is so very simple to make. To make it even better, I was able to find Hawaiian bread sliced one-inch thick in my local grocery store bakery. It’s perfect for this recipe. Don’t worry if you can’t find it though. French bread or regular white or wheat bread would work just as well. Whatever you use. just make sure it is at least a day old. If the bread is too fresh it will soak up too much of the egg mixture and become too soggy.
For the French Toast:
¾ cup heavy whipping cream
¼ cup pineapple juice (you can just use from the pineapple ring can)
3 large eggs
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. vanilla extract
2 TBSP brown sugar
