* Half a c white sugar
* 2 tsp allpurpose flour
* ½ tsp nutmeg ground
* Half tsp cinnamon ground
* 1 (22 ounce) can peaches cling in thick syrup
* ¼ cup butter, cut into pieces and divided
* 1 package (15 ounces) pastry for double 9-inch pie, cut into 1-inch strips
Preheaat oven 350°F (175°C).
Mix the sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon together in a bowl.
Pour the peaches into the bottom of a 9×13-inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the peaches and mix well. Spread half of the butter over the peach mixture. Arrange the pastry slices over the peach mixture, criss-cross or striped. Spread the remaining butter pieces over the pie dough.
Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden and crunchy, 30 to 40 minutes.
