Spanakopita: Spinach Feta Triangles Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) milk
- 125 ml (3/5 cup) vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 rolls of filo dough
- 100 g (3.5 oz) feta cheese, crumbled
- 100 g (3.5 oz) cooked spinach, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg yolk
- Poppy seeds
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
- In a bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vegetable oil, water, and salt until combined.
- Lay out one sheet of filo dough and brush a little of the egg mixture over it. Repeat this process twice more to create three layers of filo dough.
- In another bowl, mix together the crumbled feta cheese, chopped cooked spinach, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the spinach-feta mixture over the filo dough and roll it into a long strip.
