I have named this cake appropriately because that’s what people say when they ask for the recipe. I have an Amish friend named Rosie. She gave me this recipe one day and I didn’t believe her at first. I thought she surely forgot an ingredient or two. But, she didn’t. This is a moist cake and tasty. No icing is needed so it makes a nice lunchbox dessert.
I’ve made this cake a number of different ways and it doesn’t matter which you mix together they’re ALL delicious!! My family loves it when I make them in muffin tins (individual servings too!). I’ve tried chocolate with cherry pie filling, vanilla with pineapple, use any kind of cake mix and fruit filling ~ so easy and so yummy!
I make this all the time. It’s wonderful ! I use Butter Pecan or Spice cake mix with Apple Pie Filling. While it is still warm I drizzle it with Caramel Ice Cream Topping. I call it Caramel Apple Cake !
INGREDIENTS:
3 large eggs
1 box cake mix any flavor
1 can pie filling any flavor
How to make it:
Put the three ingredients into a bowl and mix them well.
Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees in a 9 x 13 pan.
It’s got almost a pudding-cake kind of consistency, lighter than pound cake.
It’s spotted on the inside with little pieces of whatever fruit filling you are using.
The edges are crispy, like you would get on brownies.
Enjoy ^^
